A few months ago there was a lot of hype with the GDU o2 drone but… Is GDU o2 better than the DJI MAVIC? Is GDU going to compete against DJI for the podium of the drone industry? Is this GDU o2 drone what they promised???? Check out our hands on review!

Do you have any question about this new GDU o2? Leave it in the comments and we will respond it in a new video.

Thursday afternoon with Alex my favorite YouTuber by far 🙂

  • April 19, 2018 at 8:17 PM

I would love to see some serious competition against DJI , but this is not it by along way, poor distance, poor video etc etc..
Thanks for the honest review, it's a big no from me. Regards.

Great video, I love the editting work in this video, looks great!
But I still love my Mavic Air 🙂

Good review as usual Alex. Good points. Please keep them coming.

I love the enthusiasm however I don’t think this bird can carry the name Mavic killer. Even Though I own the new inspire 2 The Mavic pro is still my favourite drown even the new Mavic air was not even close to being able to compete with the Mavic pro still though a quality drone but I don’t think it is even in the same class as the Mavic

  • April 20, 2018 at 4:05 AM

You sir are a really, really nice guy. You waited 6 months for that and it is not even close to the Mavic. 1 km distance? Um doesn't the Spark do better? Seriously, forget the Mavic this guy doesn't even touch the Mavic Air. Gesture control? Nope. Sd storage up to 128g? Nope. Rear sensors? Nope. Protected gimbal? Nope. 4k 60f 100mhz camera? Nope. APAS? Nope.

Did you mention how fast it is? How accurate RTH is? Does the app store flight data? I don't know, as someone who owned a Karma, that "weak gps" thing gives me the creeps!

I look forward to comparison videos. I'd like to see if it stays in the same spot when it hovers. Speed comparison. Range comparison. Hovering battery life. I also want to see done competition for DJI but if this is the best they can do, they may as well close shop now before they embarrass themselves. Then there's that price! Say what?!? I was thinking $400 maybe… Yikes!

Jello effect is quite noticeable, due to speed?

  • April 20, 2018 at 8:35 AM

Good review Alex! Unfortunately it seems it's just another drone that wishes it can compete with the Mavic, but doesn't have all it takes to do so. Anyway, thanks for giving your honest opinion on it 🙂

  • April 20, 2018 at 1:52 PM

Absolutely the Itel evil should be the one drone that should dominate the Mavic or at very least be able to compete with it

  • April 20, 2018 at 4:12 PM

Not that great of a drone. The Autel Robotics EVO is the only one that will actually beat the mavic.

  • April 20, 2018 at 6:19 PM

Good review as usual 🙂 I heard that you do not like Mavic, but it seems that you do not like this guy more 🙂 Does it support switching CE FCC modes?

  • April 20, 2018 at 6:41 PM

Sounds like a mavic air, but another company bites the dust trying the out do dji. Great video and review bro

  • April 20, 2018 at 9:07 PM

They should have put the second antenna on the other part of the remote so it's not "weird" when you put your phone in (antenna aren't centered). Over all, it was a very good review, waiting for the comparaison.

  • April 20, 2018 at 10:34 PM

This drone is very nice, but in quality, far, far away from Mavic Air in same price range.

  • April 21, 2018 at 12:58 AM

dude what kind of sunglasses are you wearing?

  • April 21, 2018 at 3:06 AM

    Wow………way too late GDU 🙁
That ship has sailed so long ago 🙁

  • April 21, 2018 at 2:18 PM

Mavic air much better so is the mavic pro…

Mavic air is Wi-Fi also but it has a range with the controller 2.5 miles.. are you saying that with the controller for that drone with the antennas not using the phone Wi-Fi antennas it only goes .6 miles something is wrong..

If you're using the antennas on that controlla you should get minimum 1.2 miles

So either you don't know how to review things or you don't know the specifications sorry doesn't seem like you're really good at the details…

You need to get more information and provide accurate specifications…

  • April 21, 2018 at 3:33 PM

I think for me that drone would have to be in the 450 range to even think about it. I would just go for the Mavic.

  • April 21, 2018 at 3:43 PM

It’s a good first attempt at a drone company no one has ever heard of. Definitely need to go to the drawing board and fix things where it counts. We want strong transmission distance. Give us a 3-4 mile range. Sure you can’t fly that far, but I’d like to go between trees or around a building without feeling like it’s going to drop signal. Camera has to have iso and shutter speed settings…. period. If your going to take legitimate video, they are going to have to include micro sd card capability. There is no way around these things. People can forgive a shorter flight time. People can forgive a louder drone if you give those people the above mentioned.
