I don't understand why you are talking about this NOT YET AVAILABLE PRODUCT as if you have one.

  • May 16, 2018 at 10:33 PM

Ok. 8 minutes in and I can't stand all this speculation talk as if it is fact. See ya!

  • May 16, 2018 at 10:39 PM

It is too late. They should have released it months ago. The Mavic Pro 2 is going to destroy the EVO.

After 5 minutes I realized this guy needs to get laid…Like Drone Valley, loves to talk and says nothing..

3DR has open sourced it's software when it got out of the commercial drone business, and since this release the community has released OpenSolo. 3DR Solo hardware was already open and was based off of an onboard computer and pixhawk. What I don't understand is why a company like Autel isn't utilizing this? I mean why reinvent the wheel when all you have to do is make the existing one better? Out of the box, and opensolo quadcopter would have more (and better) smartshots than DJI, waypoint flying, site scanning, etc. So 90% of your development costs are done for you.

Autel is Autel automotive, parent company creates automotive scanners.

EVO – Ghost Ship of the Air. It needed to be released 4 months ago. Reason, either supply problems or they cannot get it to work to spec. Given all the tech required has been available at every drone store for two years tells me the dick heads running the show are duds, the drone is a dud. Ho Hum..

One year ago, I became interested in getting a drone. It was between the Autel X-Star and a used Phantom 4 for a good price from a well known photographer who lives in my area. I had actually seen this photographer fly this Phantom 4 a month before I contacted him. Anyways, I bought the Phantom 4 after quite a bit of research. I never regretted my choice. I now have the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 on order. If I were in the market for a smaller quad, I'd pick the Mavic Pro.

Doesn’t all that product in your hair muck up your glasses🤪

How do you destroy a business giant? Easy, slowly chip little by little of market away from it until your r and d ramps up and is able to compete with the giant head to head. Anyways, never seen so many people so happy awaiting to spend an extra $2-300 over the original released price on a updated product.

  • May 17, 2018 at 6:30 AM

100% agree. DJi needs a strong competitor in the market place if not only to brig down their stupid prices…

  • May 17, 2018 at 11:25 AM

I will keep this subscription, I like this guy he does good stuff, of course you can't actually review something you cant buy, I appreciate that, but if this thing is coming it promotes price and feature competition which is great for us. One wonders if it will come with the height restriction and no fly zone features of the DJI.

  • May 17, 2018 at 12:25 PM

All good points! There is one point that no one ever mentions however! Peoples familiarity with the DJI Platform! I don't really see too many people buying a new drone, that has an all new app, and all new controller, that have previously owned one or more DJI products! That is just my opinion! Why learn an all new set of flight modes, and why learn an all new set of characteristics, etc… on this new drone if it may be only marginally better than what you already own. This drone may sell great to new drone owners, but unless there is something really really special about this Evo, I don't see many DJI folks jumping ship to get one.

  • May 17, 2018 at 1:01 PM

Great comments! The Autel Evo is unfortunately in the "hit" or "miss" category. The "hit" is what you get for the price & the "miss" is that the initial launch is only in the US which makes the global market less interested. It will be interesting to see DJI's reaction to the US market if the EVO impacts their sales.

  • May 17, 2018 at 1:08 PM

Yep, too little too late. Dji will step all over their “karma” on this one, with the Mavic Pro 2, while the MP original will be at a reduced price. It would be nice to have a viable competitor to DJI , but they own the market and can crush the small fry at will, and their stuff is pretty good as well.

The Evo camera is close to the same as a GoPro? You might look things up before you actually spread bad info. You correctly said the Evo camera will have a 94 degree FOV. The GoPro has several and goes to 170 degrees. When is 94 and 170 equivalent? The camera is touted to be the best out there with the software tweaks. You can actually see all the stats of the Evo at Also, its obstacle avoidance is not stupid like the Mavic, etc. It will not stop at an obstacle. It maps it out and goes around it, over it, etc. and continues to follow you. This is basic information that has been out for months so please, start actually doing some basic research instead of making these hype videos. Thanks.

3 months ago I was so into EvO but when the Mavic air released lost interest of the evo And you really know the ways the phantom 4 pro 2.0 reminds me of the inspire one 2.0 V 5 months later The inspired 2 Was released

I really hope that the Autel EVO will be a "Mavic-killer". Competition is ALWAYS healthy! Intresting video thanks for sharing

  • May 17, 2018 at 8:42 PM

The X-Star didn't cause any impact on the Phantom's price. I wouldn't suspect the Evo would bring any competition to the Mavic. Autel just needs to go down the list of complaints people have about DJI and address those (geo fencing). They already had a detachable camera on the X-Star, right? But did they ever provide an upgraded camera that customers could purchase?

EVO Blah Blah Blah Mavic Pro 2

  • May 18, 2018 at 1:51 AM

Hi we talk uav i love your videos but i need your help can you?

  • May 19, 2018 at 1:55 AM

Hi, you made reference to not knowing the exact sensor size. I found a video where someone from Autel Robotics explains the sensor size to a youtuber called Kloo Gee.

(watch from 8:05). Thank me later

  • May 19, 2018 at 2:17 PM

Autel is going to have two more versions of the EVO with bigger sensors. Most likely this launch version is not going to have the 1 inch but it could be. The price range for the other Evo models 1200 to 1400. Looks like Autel is going to ready for the Mavic 2 PRO. Their is no word of when the other versions will launch. If the Autel EVO is a success there will be other versions that will hit the market soon. Autel is really trying to go head to head with the Mavic Pro and Mavic Pro 2.

  • May 19, 2018 at 8:00 PM

Soon as autel Evo is released next day there will be a DJI press conference revealing the mavic Pro 2

  • May 20, 2018 at 4:14 PM

Evo will be for sure made in China anyway. Here's a thing viewers should pay attention to: if it is non-chinese brand but manufactured in China, then it's usually either low grade cheap products or very expensive; if it's a genuine international Chinese brand and made in China, then it's usually good or high quality products with reasonably good price. For example, Apple and huawei phone are both made in China, but Apple is expensive American brand while Huawei is lot less expensive Chinese brand. And the same to chinese ilife robot vacuum vs irobot vacuum.

autel make a lot of diagnostic equipment motor trade and i have a lot of money behind them, I have spent thousands with autel and they make a very good product, so don't write off yet, was sad to see that the Evo is it not approved for EU

  • May 21, 2018 at 8:04 AM

Hei, Autel Evo have no chance! In Januar them say Evo come In 3 modell one With 1 Inch sensor. But now many months later we know It not happen. Them come With somthing DJI make fore some years ago. Yuneec also try to hitt marked With H. Now them soon come With H Plus 1 Inch sensor. I fly DJI because It Works. I fly DJI Inspire 1 V2.0. and I own all modell from them since start. DJI are best.

Make a video when you have an evo drone. What I heard, what I see….
Secondly a real competitor to DJi drones is good for the market.

  • June 3, 2018 at 7:27 PM

Sounds like the same folks that done the Elio Motors marketing. I'll believe it when i see it.

  • June 5, 2018 at 12:03 AM

They should have just released it when they had the chance (if they even did) now DJI is just sitting there waiting like a predator for the Autel Evo to come out… and when they do, they will just release the mavic II, and reduce the mavic pro down to $699. Competition destroyed. All this at the expense of the consumer.

  • June 13, 2018 at 11:59 AM

If it doesn't fly the distance of the mavic pro, that is a deal breaker for me. Technology is suppose to move forward, not backward.
