For those raging, we received the ronin S with no box, no guidelines or anything. So the purpose of this video was to see how "easy to use" with no idea it was, a real life test, so if we've made mistakes, that's the point of the whole video. Love u

great video ! the only thing I would improve on is the way you guys are walking (or else you will have bouncy footage) (with any stabilizer) which was a bit disturbing. Other than that great video and keep up the good work

Video is wobbly. It is an issue of DJI.

Look for Zhiyun crane 2 – it's working out of the box with any regular weight.
Little bit lighter than ronin-s but still solid.
And this absolutly strange charging solution through the 'neck'.

Taking into account release dates DJI from my POV made not a good job just to take some market share of one-handed stab-s.

Let's see some one use it with walking shots, On the GH4 & a NON STABILIZED Lens of 24mm or higher. @24fps & NO! SLO-MO. That! Will tell the truth.

First go and learn how to calibrate your gimbal … can't belive DJI sponsered this kind of noob

  • July 16, 2018 at 4:33 PM

Just FYI a gimbal's tilt axis shouldn't wobble back and forth once its balanced, that means that adjustment is too low – the camera should be able to be set to any position and not move back to the original position, it should just hold at any angle without the power being on. I have seen this issue a few times on different videos so apparently its a common mistake. Good video other than that though.

Horrible operator and you can`t see the real stabilization, because every shot only last like 3 seconds.

  • July 22, 2018 at 3:10 PM

First time that I see a video from you guys. I love it! And as I am a big Barcelona fan, it was great to see all your action in this beautiful city.

  • July 23, 2018 at 4:38 PM

No, it won't work with a Manfrotto tripod. Several reviews are proof of that.

  • July 24, 2018 at 3:36 AM

Just like the song…down down down….up up up and down….if your steps are not that stable, you'll get obvious up and down staccato footage, the only way to eliminate that is to buy a customized fourth axis (z: straight up and down) stabilizer and mount it onto the handle of your RONIN-S.

Where to buy sun glasses like in your video ? Thanks for help !!!!

Kinda chyte footage considering the environment and good equipment. Lazy review.

Hi – I have question about transporting, carrying the Ronin-S in a day of travel.

How do you transport it from one location to another? Like when you are getting lost in a city, I don’t want to assemble it again all the time but take it with me during the day like i do it with a gorillapod.

So I am wondering that when do you assemble it or do you just leave the camera on it, turn the gimbal off and just carry it? If so, is it safe?

Nice video! Just one comment. You did a minor mistake in calibrating. You should slide your camera as right as you can so the battery side is almost touching the tilt motor. At least dji is recommending that.

Loved the vidio and I have a question. Most of the footages were taken from Sony and less from Fuji! Does this mean I should not Mount Fuji?

  • August 4, 2018 at 6:34 PM

Honestly I normally love your videos but you can’t walk like that with a gimbal. You need to softly step as you walk, these are three axis gimbals is not four axis.

what is the sony camera model name used for shooting?

  • August 9, 2018 at 8:23 PM

Problem is this product is not available anywheres. I've called coast to to coast and everyone is on back order.

  • August 9, 2018 at 9:21 PM

Can you use the the time lapse mode with the ronin s and Fuji xt2

  • August 25, 2018 at 7:15 PM

I love my Ronin-S, here is a little test shot:

  • September 10, 2018 at 5:07 PM

Calling BS on the 30 seconds to balance it. Maybe if you took it off from a previously balanced setup, and then just put it back on, sure… but not from scratched with a camera you previously never used.

down down down down down down down. apple bottom. down. down down down down

  • September 12, 2018 at 11:56 AM

take off those ridiculous glasses. All I could see was the reflection.

  • September 29, 2018 at 12:10 AM

Why would you wear those glasses while shooting a video? The audience is just constantly seeing the camera guy…

"Honest and true" my a**, talk about its steroid freaking out, shaking violently "modes" before you slap that "honest and true" tag on. Clearly this is just another review from a channel that received the product for free. I bought this thing and it's nothing as good as loads and loads of channels are flattering it about. To be fair:
    + Easy to balance: yes
+ Easy to use: kind of
+ Stablizing performance: so so. Sports mode is fine, lock mode is worse than a lot of gimbals on the market.
+ That 45 degree axis is hyped af, people don't use the screen that much and that shiet causes a lot of gimbal locks which leads to a lot of "freaking out mode" situations (an axis or all just spin like they're on drugs and it almost destroyed my camera).

And to all Ronin S reviewers out there, stop with starting with "it' so heavy" then at the end the usual routine of sucking DJI's balls "it's ok, it's just a lil heavy" or "it's very comfortable to hold". Oh please…

I'm kind of lazy to point out all the hiccups of this thing to make this rage longer, TLDR: if you're serious about film making and wanna do lots of high quality shots, don't get this thing, unless you wanna do creative shots that don't require much quality.

Nice review but man, those sunglasses are super distracting! OH now you both have them.Ok the staying alive test made up for the glasses 🙂
