useless comparison. people in the market for m2pro are comparing to the current (affordable) low light king
which is Phantom 4 Pro. not mavic 1.

At time code 2:56 I know the Mavic Pro 1 has less detail, but it also appears to have much less distracting noise. Does anyone else feel like this? Is there some post processing that would be done to keep the fuzz lower on the MP2s? I'm pretty surprised by these results.

Is this guy payed to promote the Mavic 2 pro. And drones not in the air?

This is a flawed comparison. The Mavic 2 Pro has worst low light performance in the HQ 10 bit mode… Not even using the full sensor.

Just a recommendation, I can understand you don't want to sway people opinion, but you edited and saw the footage out of the camera and edited it, also saw it with no youtube compression. Your feedback is an important piece for us to understand the true quality of the images.

Platinum: The quality is not so good at night. The AUTO WB is too blueish and even with +1 in sharpness the drone applied and auto noise reduction that makes the pics and the videos an aquarelle paint and all the details are gone.
Mavic 2 Zoom: Ok, as expected for the size of the sensor. Although noise is very noticeable, the color is accurate and the details are great. We have a plenty of room to adjust the image.
Mavic 2 Pro: The extra MP, the 1inch sensor and the 10bits make the difference. More detail, less noise and more info in the shadows.

Nice comparison Alex, thanks! Would you please do a comparison of MP (or MPP) and M2Z in the daytime? Specifically, I'd like to see how they handle the sun. The MP has bad sun flares and sun spots when the sun is in front of the camera, or to the side. All lenses will have some flaring to an extent, but the MP much worse than P3P and P4 with the same 1/2" sensor, IMO. I think it's because of poor quality optics in the MP or MPP. I'm hoping the M2Z lens has better optics to minimize this nuisance flaring and spots from the sun, so I don't have to fly ALL THE TIME with the sun behind the camera. Thanks for the work!

The "noice" you can see on the 2 Pro is mostly from the flahing lights of the other two drones.

Not being there makes it hard, be Mavic 2 Pro appears to have more saturation and dynamic range! Looks really nice!

The comparison should not be what each can do at the same settings. The Mavic 2 has a much wider FStop and ISO range and can produce an even better image. You should compare what each one can do using the best settings for each. Users are not going to set a Mavic 2's settings to match a Mavic Pro's to get a lower quality image.

Pretty useless to try and compare image quality on a compressed youtube video… how about linking the actual JPG's and more importantly DNG files and Video files? Come on, its a no-brainer!

Thanks for taking the time to put this together for us, always appreciated! I have both the Mavic Pro 1 and now the MP2 and trying to decide if its worth keeping. This video shows there is a considerable difference between the two. One thing I am glad about with the new MP 2 is the noise is so much better to listen too. I'm also enjoying less radio interference. I just wish the return policy was 30 days and not 14 to really have time to evaluate.

For me, the slight quality edge of the Pro doesn't outweigh the usefulness of the zoom lens nor the price premium it commands. The zoom lens introduces a completely new creative tool for what I film.

Mavic 1 Pro used to have a setting on one of the rotating wheels to quickly lighten or darken exposure that really came in handy.
Is there any way to reset left wheel on Mavic 2 Zoom from rotate gimbal to change exposure, or to use the D button to do this?

The Platinum Pro has way less noise in low light than either of the two new drones, big surprise for me.
